    要:Graphene, the monolayer of graphite, has inspired huge research interest due to its outstanding properties. Lateral confined, thin and long strips of graphene, namely graphene nanoribbons (GNRs), are of particular importance in graphene-based electronics and spintronics applications. Based on first principle calculations, two important issues about GNRs will be discussed in this talk: 1) synthesize GNRs from transition-metal-catalyzed unzipping of single-walled carbon nanotubes; 2) boron and nitrogen doping induced half-metallicity in zigzag triwing GNRs.

 

个人简介:

马亮,男,1985年生,2005年进入我校物理系光信息科学与技术专业学习,2009年免试攻读我系硕士研究生,2011年春季起硕博连读,研究方向为低维功能纳米材料的第一性原理设计与研究,包括结构设计、改性以及制备合成等方面。目前在国际核心期刊上已发表SCI论文3篇,其中第一作者SCI论文1篇,20118月以第二作者与指导教师一起在Angewandte Chemie国际核心刊物上发表封面文章Transition-Metal-Catalyzed Unzipping of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes into Narrow Graphene Nanoribbons at Low Temperature,影响因子 12.73.
